Description

Banana bread is a moist, sweet loaf made with ripe bananas, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  •  3 ripe bananas, mashed  
  •  1/2 cup (115g) butter, melted  
  •  3/4 cup (150g) sugar  
  •  1 egg, beaten  
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla extract  
  •  1 teaspoon baking soda  
  •  Pinch of salt  
  •  1 1/2 cups (190g) all-purpose flour  
  •  1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)  
  •  1/2 cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)  

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.  

2. In a bowl, mash the bananas. Stir in melted butter.  

3. Mix in sugar, egg, and vanilla.  

4. Add baking soda and salt, then mix in the flour.  

5. Stir in cinnamon, nuts, or chocolate chips if using.  

6. Pour batter into the loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes.  

7. Insert a toothpick in the center; if it comes out clean, it’s done.  

8. Let cool before slicing. Enjoy!

  •  Use overripe bananas for the best flavor.  
  •  Can substitute butter with coconut oil for a dairy-free version.
