Nduja Ricotta Toast

Description

Nduja Ricotta Toast is a spicy, creamy, and savory toast topped with nduja, ricotta, and fresh herbs for a delicious appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  •  4 slices of sourdough bread  
  •  1/2 cup ricotta cheese  
  •  2 tablespoons nduja (spicy spreadable pork sausage)  
  •  1 tablespoon olive oil  
  •  1/2 teaspoon lemon zest  
  •  1 teaspoon honey (optional)  
  •  Fresh basil or parsley for garnish  
  •  Salt and black pepper to taste  

Instructions

1. Toast the sourdough slices until golden and crisp.  

2. In a bowl, mix ricotta with olive oil, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper.  

3. Spread a generous layer of ricotta mixture onto each toast.  

4. Warm the nduja slightly to soften, then dollop or spread it over the ricotta.  

5. Drizzle with honey if using, and garnish with fresh basil or parsley.  

6. Serve immediately and enjoy!  

Notes

 For extra crunch, drizzle the toast with a bit of olive oil and toast it in a pan.  

 Adjust the nduja amount based on your spice preference.  

 Serve with a side salad for a light meal.
