Description
Delicious stuffed mushrooms filled with a savory mixture of breadcrumbs, cheese, and herbs, perfect as an appetizer for any gathering.
Ingredients
- 16 large mushroom caps
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated cheese (e.g., Parmesan or mozzarella)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh herbs (e.g., parsley, thyme)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean the mushroom caps and remove the stems gently.
- In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, cheese, garlic, herbs, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
- Stuff the mixture generously into each mushroom cap, pressing lightly to ensure the filling sticks.
- Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet, ensuring they are evenly spaced.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden and crispy.
Notes
For an extra flavor kick, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes to the stuffing. Use day-old bread for your breadcrumbs for a more robust texture. If you want to make them vegetarian, skip the cheese or substitute with a vegan alternative.
