Ingredients
- 1 loaf of crispy garlic bread
- 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the garlic bread package instructions.
- In a skillet, heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced ribeye, seasoning it with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through.
- Add the sliced green bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Place the crispy garlic bread on a baking sheet.
- Spoon the ribeye and vegetable mixture over the garlic bread, spreading it evenly.
- Top generously with shredded provolone cheese.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, slice into portions, and serve warm.
Notes
For a lighter option, consider using chicken or turkey instead of ribeye. Vegetarians can make a mushroom and cheese version by omitting the meat.
