Description

A delightful combination of creamy peanut butter, sweet banana, and a curious touch of mayo, all pan-fried to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium banana, cut into thin rounds
  • 4 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 slices thick white sandwich bread


Instructions

  1. Spread a thin layer of mayo just on one side of each piece of bread.
  2. On the non-mayo side of each piece of bread, spread peanut butter generously.
  3. Lay banana rounds atop the peanut butter on two slices.
  4. Carefully flip the plain peanut butter slices onto the banana-topped slices, with the mayo side facing down to create two sandwiches.
  5. Heat a pan or griddle over medium heat. Cook the sandwiches mayo-side down until they turn golden brown. Flip and continue cooking until both sides are crispy and the insides are warm.

Notes

For extra crunch, lightly toast the bread before adding spreads. Experiment with different nut butters to customize flavors.
