Description

A comforting meatloaf infused with the savory flavors of French onion soup, slow-cooked to perfection in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 large yellow onions, caramelized
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or panko)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme


Instructions

  1. Caramelize the onions in olive oil over medium heat until golden brown, about 20-30 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooled onions, breadcrumbs, eggs, and seasonings. Mix gently until just combined.
