Description

creamy Gochujang Pasta is a rich, spicy, and easy fusion dish that blends bold Korean flavors with smooth Italian comfort. Perfect for weeknight dinners and ready in under 30 minutes!


Ingredients

8 oz linguine or fettuccine

2 tbsp gochujang paste

3 cloves garlic, minced

3/4 cup heavy cream

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tbsp butter or olive oil

Salt to taste

Chopped scallions and sesame seeds for garnish


Instructions

  • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 
  • ½ cup of pasta water and drain.
  • a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic for 1 minute.
  • Add gochujang paste and stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in a splash of pasta water and stir, then add heavy cream slowly while mixing.
  • Add soy sauce and reduce heat to low. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
  • Toss cooked pasta into the sauce and stir to coat evenly. Add sesame oil and adjust salt.
  • Serve hot with chopped scallions and sesame seeds on top.

Notes

  • You can swap heavy cream with coconut milk for a vegan version.
  • Add shrimp, bacon, or tofu for extra protein.
  • Reheat gently with a splash of milk or pasta water to restore creaminess.
