Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 8 ounces fettuccine or penne pasta
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta cooks, heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from skillet and let rest before slicing into bite-sized pieces. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, stirring until it begins to simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Add the drained pasta and mix thoroughly to coat. Fold in the sliced chicken and heat together for an additional minute.
- Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
