Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup lump crab meat
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add cubed cold butter and cut into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and milk until just combined.
- In another bowl, fold together lump crab meat, chopped parsley, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt.
- Drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough onto a baking sheet, creating a small depression in each biscuit.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Whisk together melted butter and lemon juice; drizzle over biscuits before serving.
