Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup lump crab meat
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add cubed cold butter and cut into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and milk until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, fold together lump crab meat, chopped parsley, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough onto a baking sheet, creating a small depression in each biscuit.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Whisk together melted butter and lemon juice; drizzle over biscuits before serving.
