Description

 

Banana bread is a moist and flavorful quick bread made with ripe bananas, perfect for breakfast or a snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; stir until well combined.
  6. Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • You can add nuts (walnuts or pecans) or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
  • If you prefer a sweeter bread, increase the sugar by 1/4 cup.
  • Use overripe bananas for maximum sweetness
