Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (like chives or parsley) for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter or oil and layer half of the thinly sliced potatoes at the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the potatoes.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Pour mixture evenly over the layered potatoes and cheese.
  5. Add the remaining potatoes on top and finish with the rest of the cheese.
